FIBER OPTIC INTERNET IS EXPANDING IN MONTICELLO
LightStream is expanding its fiber internet network to more of the community
BUFFALO, IN – As a long-time provider of essential communications services, LightStream is further investing in its fiber optic network to deliver high speed internet to homes and businesses. With LightStream fiber internet, residents can expect to have access to gigabit internet with no contracts or data caps.
“We are excited to expand our footprint in the Monticello area,” says LightStream CEO & President, Brent Gillum. “This project has been a decade in the making, and we’ve completed seven build phases to date. The 2022-2023 build is the largest yet in Monticello.”
The fiber network expansion recently began in September. Some homes will be eligible for installation by the end of 2022 while others will be ready Spring and Summer 2023. Construction will begin in the Lowe’s Bridge area and then moving south into Monticello on the west side of Lake Shafer. LightStream will move to other areas where the most interest has been shown by pre-registrations. Residents in all areas are encouraged to visit LightStreamIn.com to pre-register.
Gillum also stated, “This fiber infrastructure is building opportunities in education, telework, entertainment, telemedicine, small businesses, and more. We are proud to invest in the Monticello community.”
LightStream fiber internet will include cutting edge Wi-Fi 6 that provides unmatched performance for the whole home. Unlike other internet services, LightStream will manage all aspects of connectivity, including hardware such as routers and software options to help secure Wi-Fi and protect family members online.
